We’re told she’s intelligent, but she does nothing much to show that. Lorraine Heath Narrated by: Smile as though this is not the thousandth time he’s mentioned hounds and hunting? And I didn’t much like the characters anyway.

I really did feel like I was reading a Georgian romance.

Not all is made clear at the beginning of the story, which keeps me listening and questioning. I liked it that much that half way through the book i bought the next ebook in the series as i wanted to indulge in more of antonias life.

Her relationship with Roxton was entertaining because of the back and forth banter and the obvious sexual tension between them. Antonia is heartbroken and refuses to believe that he doesn’t love her. When the Marquis of Amberley’s coach is waylaid by highwaymen and his coachman shot, he is forced to take shelter at the first house he finds and is subsequently trapped there for a week by a severe snowstorm.

Do NOT hesitate to purchase this book. She is being pursued by a perverted older Lord, Comte de Salvan who wants to marry her to his opium-addicted son so he can take her innocence. Eventually, he took her under his family’s protection and that’s all he intended, but Antonia felt he was her fate and she had her own ideas.
