Set in Ireland and an island off the coast of England inthis is the story of Mirana, a Viking woman who is abducted one night by her brother’s enemy, Rorik, Hawifell of Hawkfell. I was excited that I had found a book, no matter what it was. I really liked Mirana, she is a very strong lead, although how quickly she forgives Rorik for his horrid treatment of her, I just really did not like tha Three-quarters of the men in this book will make you want to bash your head into a wall.

Rorik is caherine with hate and revenge for the death of his family and is abusive and cruel at times. Season of the Sun.

So he takes her to his home, Hawkfell Island. Amazon Giveaway allows you to run promotional giveaways in order to create buzz, reward your audience, and attract new followers and customers. I found them to be highly entertaining. I liked Mirana, she was strong and intelligent.

This was barely ok. Apr 30, Kay rated it liked it.

I like her books because they seem to offer more in the way of real characterization than just trying to get the two people in bed together. When he manages to escape, he takes Mirana with him, as a hostage. This book is quite good but there is a lot of abuse in it, rape, bondage and a whipping.

Lord of Hawkfell Island

She has also created some wonderful characters, including a huge dog named Kerzog. Either the book turned out to be my kind or my preference changed but I ended up loving the book. But just when things start to come into sync, Rorik’s family arrives, and even want her gone from Rorik’s life, no matter the means by which it is done. Not PC at all.

It was as intense the 2nd time around if you haven’t read one of Catherine’s books pllease give this book a go and i am sure you will be a fan once the book is finished.

Feb 05, Lover of Romance rated it really liked it Shelves: It was a lot like another one of Coulter’s–the title has “Sun” in it, as I recall, and was also about an Irish woman taken by an abusive Viking. Rorik is a Viking warrior, as fierce and savage as the North Sea during the winter solstice.

That these two could find love is definitely a story of second chances and love triumphing over many obstacles. There are no discussion topics on this book yet.
