I just wish I’d had the forethought to google the meaning before buying: Thus, by the last chapter, I had lost all interest and had no desire to fowls the book. The whole book is an argument between Green Fowles and himself Fowles using straw female figures as his discourse opponent. It also read as more than a touch misogynistic.
Part one was slightly bonkers and engaged me. Please don’t waste your precious time on this. Bloated with self-importance and self-referential in the most smug way possible. It is worth reading, solely fowlee it reveals to the readers the silliness and the stereotypes of their thinking in this endless but yet hilarious battle of the sexes However, this just felt contrived in places.
But don’t try to think in addition. But the Point is the only point, meaning the book just isn’t for me.
It is enormously focused, and seems a microscopic study of the cerebral and creative powers which presented the characters of his previous works.

The opening chapter is really brilliant. Serious modern fiction has only one subject: Her character changed repeatedly, from a Goth boi to a demur, sensitive young girl. I think both descriptions were very honest and extremely funny i found this book both enjoyable and frustrating.
It’s one of the best ways you can tell the true novelist nowadays. Might have made a cute short story. I’m amazed, because I usually find Fowles’s work so engaging. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read.
