While I can’t say that Honor’s Splendour is my personal favorite Garwood book, it is a good read that I would certainly recommend. For me, Julie Garwood is just.

There are some very long passages of prose and, while they do progress both the time-line and the plot without taking up a lot of space, it made me feel like the story was being told to me instead of the characters acting it out. Amazing Animals Book Lovers. It is both heart and pain, funny dialogue, everyday events in the castle, witty, charming, seductive and cute tender. He leaves the decision to her and promises not to force her.
Spunky yet kind heroine get kidnapped or otherwise forced into m Honor’s Splendour is classic Garwood. There was potential for conflict Lady Eleanor, escaping, etc but the author never explores honr. Then, in vengeance for a bitter crime, Baron Duncan of Wexton—the Wolf—unleashed his warriors against Louddon.
And also, after Madelyne and Duncan were married the book did seem to slow down, it became just a little boring until they ended up in the King’s Court. He also agrees to marry her on her terms, view spoiler [that splendo won’t bed her until SHE wants and is good and ready hide spoiler ].

Even to none Historical Romance readers or people wanting to begin with this genre like myself. While I didn’t necessarily need more tawdriness, some of the scenes just seemed to lack that extra bit of spice that really shows the reader a deep emotional connection.
Lists with This Book. I liked both characters and how they interated together. Madeline was so great! She makes the characters sing in the historicals These books would be appropriate for teen and sensitive readers. The POV changes didn’t help either. I didn’t like the tough-love aspect that Madelyne used with Adela, but, for the most part, I liked how Adela was treated.
