The FT17H horn tweeter has a high sensitivity, rated at Right out of the box, they look good. The nominal impedance of the FT17H horn tweeter is 8 ohms making the horn tweeters easy to drive even with small amplifiers.
Another e-mail on the Forum recommended a single 0. What do I have? I hear a wider, more open soundstage. This explains the VERY relaxed treble. Err, wish to add another point.
I haven’t heard much mention of how pretty they sound. The Foxtex FT17H is an economical horn super tweeter with a frequency response that extends out to 50 kHz.

Heard that some commercial mosquitoes repellant utilize a 40kHz frequency tone ft1h7 “shoo-shoo” mosquitoes away. Finally cymbals and hi-hats have more “body”. Last update 29 April Haven’t done much on it, but swapping the only electrolytic in the crossover with a better cap yielded even better sound!
So far, build quality of all Fostex drivers I have come across look really good. Since this Fostex has output up till 50kHz, there should be The FT17H offers high cost performance and is well suited for added that last little bit of sparkle and air to high sensitivity speaker systems.
The FT17H is ideal for mounting in an enclosure – front and rear firing. So I did as they did, and mounted mine on top of the cabinet, angled at the listener, with some Blu-tack. Those guys on the Super 12 Forum is right.
Upgrading every component in the crossover doesn’t sound good to me. Reason being, too many credit card frauds. A gasket comes affixed to the tweeter housing. The horn super tweeter offers a crisp high frequency response that extends out well past the audible range. The Fostex FT17H horn tweeters came neatly packaged in a small cardboard boxes.
I haven’t heard so much treble from my system! Ever since my Hammer Dynamics started singing, I have been having lots of fun. I got mine from Madisound but ordering through them isn’t as easy as before.

You can use and L-Pad attenuator to match the tweeter level foostex your speakers. Every unit even has frequency response chart, specifications, mounting dimensions and configuration example.
Vocals are impressive too. Noting that I hate sizzle or exaggerated treble. Included with the horn tweeter are mounting screws and a datasheet. Instruments have more “air” around them. I don’t have to tell you this new procedure is a P-A-I-N.

You see, the Hammer Dynamics main 12″ driver has a sensitivity of 97dB while this Audax is only 94dB. We have had good results with this tweeter fodtex a first-order crossover in the 10 to 15 kHz range.
Super 12 Forum guys recommend “padding” the tweeter with a 1 ohm series resistor and 65 ohm shunt resistor. The FT17H horn tweeter uses vostex shielded magnet. However, they are too big to be mounted on the current tweeter position. Other than the “air” factor, it also seems to have more “body” fotsex “feel” to it.
