Stay in Touch Sign up. Evening Class comes highly recommended for all those who like character-based novels with a little more depth than many books more recently published. She works hard at school but is always at the tail end of the binchj. Admittedly, I’m one of those readers that prefer the majority of my reading to be wrapped up in a beautiful little bow.
Connie’s story was something else though. As always in Binchy’s stories, all works out for the best in the end, but not before the reader is taken on a suspenseful journey through many fascinating lives. The book has a set of 4 to seven Main characters.
She is assisted with her plans by Aidan Dunne, a man who believes he wants to be headmaster, but realises later that he was mistaken and is a better teacher than administrator.
He was a bit passive, except a few times in the story. I was pleasantly surprised to find a character driven novel that was pleasant to read.

Once again, Evening Class was a sweet story about people who evneing in an Italian evening class. It’s a bad thing about Binchy’s biinchy. She passed away on 30 Julyat the age of I just cannot remember what happens to the main character Ria Lynch, and yet it’s not a bunchy of bad writing. Sadly, she died a few years ago. This new venture excites and energizes the dejected “Signora” and gives her a new lease on life. There is something so homey with these books.
This is the whole point of reading, right? Did she ever get over it or take a new lover??

She stays there for twenty-five years, sitting in a room across the square from where Mario and his family live, watching their comings and goings. Some parts of the book felt a bit dated to me then with discussions of one of Aiden’s daughters working in a travel agency. Claes usual I think my favorite sections to read about were Aiden, Signora, and Connie.
