I found this psychological insight into a mind of a troubled, provocative and anything-but-innocent teenager very interesting. Our male lead has gone full animal after cooet catches her naked in a window, purposely sticking her butt out for him to look at, and he ties her up and takes her from behind.
I got through the catthy chapter, or part, or whatever it was, okay. But I can’t say I’m disappointed I read it, as disturbing and controversial as it was.
You can pick it out pretty early on in it, through subtle hints. This was not about romance, but about manipulation and control.
This is a VERY sexual book. Usually such stories are fun reads because the forbidden love aspect provides a built-in tension in the story that is highly entertaining. Want to Read saving…. Cootr was written in a way most people wouldn’t understand. I felt this lacked what other student-teacher relationship stories have, which is the story.
Ciote skimmed it, reading paragraphs here and there that interested me, and all I got out of it was sex, sex and masturbating and sex and one hell of a twisted relationship that I just didn’t care for. My instincts were vicious, predatory, from the start. It’s almost brilliant and it shows how smart and how terrifyingly smart this young girl is. I knew that This is one caghy the most engrossing books I’ve read in my entire life. This book was alright. That was interesting for me.

But it doesn’t save the book. This lead her to lock herself in the bathroom and then squat on the floor and dribble semen out of her butt onto the tile. This book focuses cathyy an age-gap relationship, and coming from such a thing, I was inspired to take on literature regarding this subject matter.
Despite her seduction, manipulation and cruelty,I couldn’t help but feel sorry for her. I loved it so much! Good read and very interesting.

Cathy Coote | Kirkus Reviews
She lives with her aunt and uncle who “don’t understand her”, and spends time drawing pornographic and sadistic sketches where she is the one in c Review from Way Too Hot Books “My darling, all of this is my fault.
The relationship was made even further sickening by the fact the girl acted infantile and the older character seemed to revel in the caring for a young child. I haven’t read such a thought provoking book in really long time.
Aug 28, Tracy Towley rated it did not like it. It’s written in her point of view, its a letter from her to him and she goes over how she played him every step of the way, not used, but used her body and her moves and how she planned and acted almost every part of what she was doing, just to see him clamor all over her. It’s a dangerous tale of self destruction, the results of too much of desire and need for control. They have sex constantly and she’s constantly manipulating him.
Ironically, for me, Innocents was a hollow and horribly pretentious wreck. One has to be in this anonimous girl’s shoes. I never once felt pity for this narrator like I do for Lo, plain Lo, in the morning. The book is written as a letter. This book will never gain mainstream popularity. I viewed the relationship itself as a ticking time bomb.
For this reason I will give the book a three star rating. Innocents by Cathy Coote.
As the cooge progresses we notice that he becomes slightly more hostile towards her and she revels in it. If I based my review on the writing alone, Innocents would get four stars. Cathy Coote was 19 when she wrote this book, and I can see that woven through on every.
Open Preview See a Problem? I would deeply appreciate it if Cathy wrote a sequel to this so we could know what happened with that. Jul 06, Sharon Mariampillai rated it it was ok Shelves: This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers.
Is it supposed to be empowering? It’s weird and hyper-sexual and not even in a satisfying Anna Todd fanfiction way.
Well- because it left a horrible taste in my mouth and made me sick cokte my stomach at some points. But give cooe a plot. After all the effort it took to acquire it, hoping it would be similar to The Virgin Suicides, and knowing it was meant to be a perverted take on the student-teacher relationship, I was horribly bored and disappointed.
Published August 14th by Grove Press first published Especially with the older man and young girl setting. So enamored by her is he, that he quits his job, rents them a new house and takes her away from her life.
Every single expression she wore and words she spoke was an act of seduction, the way she created an aura of innocence around her in order to manipulate a man to the point where cathu loses his self control finally and causes destruction for both of them.
