If Falck’s mother was 16 years old init seems a bit of a stretch that she huellae have daughters young enough to just be starting their families now. Open Preview See a Problem?

And, while we’re talking about Erica, why the heck isn’t she considered the main character. The historical aspect involves Falck’s mother czmilla her circle of friends when she was a teenager.

I liked the author’s set up in the beginning. I just cannot get enough of her writing! Some of the characters have storylines that continue from previous books but I was able to follow along without having read all the other books.

This is the first book in the series that I have read. Could what little knowledge she has be enough to endanger her husband and newborn baby?

Could what little knowledge she has be enough to endanger her husband and newborn baby? Best Patrik Hedstrom book yet in the series for so many reasons.

Will there be many spoilers?

Las huellas imborrables (Patrik Hedström, #5) by Camilla Läckberg (2 star ratings)

That was not my experience of my own children or those of friends, at this rate the child prodigy imborranles be rivalling Mozart and be knocking out concertos and operas before the next couple of books are complete Despite all that I did get caught up in the mystery itself.

A few days later he is murdered with the medal still in his possession. But I was able to follow them as well as the well-fleshed out secondary characters. Slowly the tale of a young girl, the uncertainty of war and the loss of friends and family, emerges and Erica comes to know the young girl who would become her mother. I didn’t like this book as much as I did The Stonecutter but I liked it enough that I want to keep reading more of the books in this series. This is why I like stand-al I am sorry but I cannot stand Erica.

The theme was depressing. imboerables

Again, the fans probably can’t get enough of the characters. Not a bad story, but too much dross involved!

Thus starts a dual investigation – the police look into Erik’s death and Erica searches for information about her mother. That was new to me. The characters are wholly relatable and the mixture of crime solving and ‘real’ life is well balanced. Other books in the series.

Though it is referred to as the Patrick Hedstrom series it is quite a bit more the Ericka Falck Hedstrom story as she once again taking center stage in this mystery of murder, betrayal and a buried past. What I like about her writing is the simple, direct prose. Needless to say, things did not run smoothly. The mysteries are often complex with red herrings and twists that leave the reader believing in one outcome until it changes and changes.

Las huellas imborrables

Hedstrom is a detective in the small town of Fjallbacka. It felt very much a ‘I know I’m causing you pain but my pain is more important’ thing to me. So I much preferred reading about the police chief falling in love and learning to salsa dance and the police woman who was starting a family. Reasonably well written in terms of use of language which may be down lackbrrg the translation rather than the writing but I didn’t like the character Erica or her sister.

Most of them still live in Fjallbacka which is described as a lackbrg town. The story alternates between the present-day and the s during World War IIwhen some Swedes aided the resistance in Nazi-occupied Norway. Time that quite frankly could have been given to the flatter of the important characters.

Becoming a huge chore to read.

The overall story is interesting and well-plotted.
