Nathaniel Cade, a vampire more than years old, currently bound by a blood oath to serve and protect the President of the United States; former Federal Bureau of Investigation Agent William Griffin, or “Griff,” Cade’s handler for more than 30 years, and Zach Barrows, a former White House staffer farnswortg is Griff’s replacement.

Griff then silences Zach completely by revealing his own opinion that Zach is in his situation as, while drunk, Zach was caught by the Secret Service having sex with the president’s daughter, Candace.

Appealing to his faith, Cade agrees to not turn his back on everything he was, and maintains he is a loyal patriot of farnsworrh United States.

Okay, I have to say that the tag lines on the cover did not impress me and I thought it was on the edge of rediculous, but I decided to open the book anyway Blood Chridtopher is a far better title.

I want this book’s sequel, and I want it now. The only thing standing in the way of that train is Cade and his newbie handler, Zach Barrows. Witty, exciting, and compulsively readable, with a central character who seems destined to become a favorite of both skeptics and true blood believers, this may just be the best debut vampire novel in many years. I want this book to be a movie very badly. And before Zach even has a chance to settle into his new position, he and Cade are called to a crime scene that involves a lot of severed body parts– indicating that Konrad might be further along in his efforts to create a zombie super soldier than Cade realized.

Blood Oath – Michelle’s second choice! It was such an easy read not because it was simplistic but because the book was like watching a movie. A paranormal thriller begging for a slot in airport bookshops.
