You will have better chance of up-votes if you break up your wall of text into small paragraphs. Just for the record, I used a in quite successfully. Note that the LED current is limited to less than 2 mA, minimizing excess dissipation in the chip.
Thanks for the answer.

Home Questions Tags Users Unanswered. I assume that the memory enable should just stay low at all times, but I did try moving it around. Any value of input pullup resistor greater than ohms will suit for LOW input normal function.

The outputs are inverted OC type. If the IC’s output is irrational then it is oscillating or it is blown.
As you said, you could just tie ME low with a wire for this test.

I have been learning about the memory chip. Sign up or log in Sign up using Google. Rather than just moving wires to change your inputs, it would be well worth your while to get a DIP dxtasheet and a bunch of resistors or a SIP resistor network.
I am still new to digital electronics and I am just trying to learn. From this answerI learned the basic idea of how to set up the circuit. Sign up using Facebook. That is what I was thinking. To 748, click on the “add a comment” link by the answer or question your commenting to. It may not be able to drive LED’s datssheet. I bought two SN because I wanted to learn how the memory chip works. The runs hot to mW under normal conditions, so it might not be damaged.
The IC is blown then.
